Our client is a growth-stage (Series C) B2B data & analytics SaaS company whose platform powers decision-making for enterprise customers. They have a mature engineering organisation, a healthy commercial pipeline and a data-rich product surface, with plenty of hard, interesting problems around scale, modelling and performance. The company is kept confidential at this stage; full details, including the client name, are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Job Description

Our client is hiring a Data Engineer to design and operate the data platform behind their analytics product. You'll build reliable pipelines and models, own data quality and platform reliability, and enable both product features and customer-facing insight. This is a hands-on role at a growth-stage business with a genuinely data-rich product surface.

  • Design, build and operate reliable data pipelines and models
  • Own data quality, lineage and platform reliability
  • Enable product features and customer-facing insight with clean, trusted data
  • Work with modern warehouses (Snowflake or BigQuery) and orchestration tools
  • Build and maintain transformations (e.g. with dbt) and scheduling (e.g. Airflow)
  • Optimise pipelines for cost, performance and maintainability
  • Collaborate with analysts, product and engineering teams
  • Improve monitoring, testing and documentation across the data platform
  • Contribute to data architecture and modelling decisions

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for a strong data engineer who cares about reliability, data quality and enabling others.

  • 4+ years of data engineering experience
  • Strong SQL and Python
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and/or Airflow
  • Experience with modern warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery or similar)
  • Solid data modelling fundamentals
  • A focus on reliability, testing and data quality
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience with streaming or large-scale data is a plus
