From $0 to $10,000/Month: A Realistic Roadmap for New SaaS Recruitment Contractors

The average contract recruiter in the US earns approximately $65,000/year (Indeed 2025). At Magnus Kor Talent Partners, our contractors have the potential to surpass that within their first year. Here's a realistic, quarter-by-quarter roadmap.

The Starting Point

You're a new Magnus Kor contractor. You start at Standard Tier (20% commission). Your goal: consistent placements and progression to $10,000+/month.

We assume an average candidate CTC of $140,000 and our Partnership fee model (20%), giving a placement fee of $28,000 per hire.

At Standard Tier, your commission per placement: $5,600.

At Senior Tier (after 6 months + $50K cumulative fees): $7,000.

Quarter 1 (Months 1-3): Foundation

Focus: Learn the SaaS hiring landscape, build pipeline, close first placements.

What you'll do:

  • Build initial candidate pipeline on LinkedIn (100+ relevant connections/week)
  • Start BD outreach to 20-30 SaaS startups per week
